Cute As Can Be

Apparently I have a thing for ruffles right now.  Everyday on my way home from work I pass an American Apparel billboard with images of this frilly little number and always want to go try it on.  I don't know if I could pull it off, but I sure do think it's darling.

Just Browsing...

I popped into Urban Outfitters today and had my eye on the following items.  Sadly, none of them made their way home with me....this time.

Lucca Couture Jacquard Print Peplum Blouse

Deena &Ozzy Ankle Wrap Sandal

Kimchi Blue Knit Feather Skirt

I fell in loooove with this dress and all of its ruffly goodness. Unfortunately I can't really justify its over-$300 price tag.

My Must Haves: Volume 6

I haven't done one of these in a while and of course I have new daily favorites!

This compact little pot is a great three-in-one.  The Secret Camouflage (left) is long-lasting and thicker than the creamier Secret Concealer (right).  I use the Secret Camouflage on blemishes and the Secret Concealer under my eyes.  Below the those is the Lightweight Translucent Loose Setting Powder, which I lightly dab on any spots I may have concealed and also brush allover to set my makeup as a whole.

This eyeliner glides on extremely smoothly and stays put for hours.  My color of choice is Rockstar, which is a dark purple.  I usually wear it on my bottom lashes to add a pop of color that isn't over the top and inappropriate for daytime.

This smooth, pearly cream hydrates and creates a nice glow.  I usually put it around my eyes and the tops of my cheeks, not all over, as my Laura Mercier Illuminating Tinted Moisturizer takes care of the "lit from within" look I want. However, if I don't use the Laura Mercier Moisturizer and opt for something else, then I'll use this as a primer underneath.

Love this stuff- its a mix between a dry shampoo and a styling product.  Gets rid of greasies and totally gives my hair volume at the roots, body all over and creates hold. I've had my bottle for months and there's still a bunch left. *Just be careful not to get too much on the skin of your part or on your clothes, as the power is colored.

Road Trip Anyone?

Once again, I am itching to get away. Maybe not a long road trip like the 6+ hour car ride to Arizona I took a few weeks ago, but nice little jaunt to Palm Springs sounds quite nice. Santa Barbara would do as well - I won't be picky. Any takers?

Bold Blossoms

Florals are a popular trend this season, as I guess they most always are, especially come spring and summer. Lately though, I've been eyeing larger prints with vibrant palettes, over the smaller, sweeter buds in pastel shades. More edgy, than sweet and ultra girlie. Here are some picks I would love to pluck for myself.

I think I may head to the beach this weekend. Enjoy yours, however you spend it!

Mascara is a weakness of mine. I am always trying new ones and rarely buy the same one two times in a row in hopes that the next one will be the perfect, most amazing mascara that has ever touched my lashes! Sadly, I have yet to come across the holy grail of mascaras, but the Sephora LashStash Mascara Deluxe Sampler is a pretty awesome way to try out a bunch of them. They're minis, like half the size of regular tubes. That's another reason why it's so great - less chance of dry out, great for travel, don't like one - try another. The whole set is only $39, so it's kind of a steal of a deal, considering many full-size mascaras are over $20. I also think it's a perfect gift idea (I've even "gifted" myself two of the sets).

Stay tuned for my update on the

Copy Cat

I popped over to Jak & Jil and instantally fell in love with this look. Being a lover of bold shades, especially blue, I adore this blazer. I like the larger menswearish fit that's not so tailored. The silver statement necklace is f.a.b.u.l.o.u.s! I like that it's all one color, so as not to take away from the lovely blue. Not sure what the gal is wearing on the bottom, but I would pair it with some black skinny jeans and black platform sandals.

{After tirelessly searching, I was unable to find a blazer in the cobalt hue of the one above, but I actually quite like this this teal one}.

Coveted Collars

I'm totally swooning over these lovely necklaces from Anthropologie. The mix of colors and materials is interesting and fun. Adding one of these stunners will easily add an edge and some oomph to an otherwise understated spring look. I'd wear one with a simple white tee and some boyfriend jeans.
