Dresses for the Seasons

Old Navy has some super cute dresses right now that will also transition perfectly into fall.  I can't believe I'm even thinking about anything other than summer, but it's great to have items you can wear in multiple climates. Throw on a cardi or blazer with the sleeveless ones and add boots to all when the temps cool.

Gwyneth Paltrow is stylish and fresh in the shirt dress ensemble she wore to a Beyonce show in London last month. It's an effortless look that could be worn to lunch, shopping, pretty much wherever and can easily transition into various other looks. You could swap the sandals for boots and throw on a leather jacket for an edgier feel. Or put on some pumps and a blazer to class it up a bit.  Super simple to pull off and equally as easy to replicate.

This is the Life...

Five days at the beach - sans makeup, a blowdryer and anything more than a swimsuit coverup and PJs. Novels, walks scouring for beach glass, sandwiches on white bread, naps on lounge chairs, sunshine, crashing waves and family.

Eye Candy Friday

Welcome summer and hello again, Mark Salling.  I love the coloring and cool Cali vibe in this GQ spread from last June.  Makes me want to hit the beach with my cruiser.

On a whim, I bought some fun, aqua colored shades over the weekend at Target. I think they were like $12. The next day I saw Ashley Tisdale sporting an almost identical pair. Hers are Ray-Bans and obviously not an identical price to mine, but I'm cool with the cheapos, as they'll be out of style soon enough and I won't be too upset if something happens to them.  I saw a pair at Nordstrom today for $10 (they don't have the same color online) and here's a similar pair from Fred Flare.

Btw, her other accessory isn't too shabby.  Hiya Zac Efron!

Eye Candy Friday

Jason Sudeikis always cracks me up on SNL and I enjoyed his appearances on 30 Rock. I think he's quite handsome and a catch! Thanks to Jamie, I had the opportunity to attend a screening of Horrible Bosses a few weeks ago.  The movie was super funny, but the best part was the Q&A afterward with Jason S. and Jason Bateman.  They were hilarious! We were also able to go backstage to listen to a couple of interviews and watch them get press photos taken.  Unfortunately we didn't meet both Jasons, but we were introduced to JB.  Swoon, swoon, swoon! You may remember I confessed my love for him a couple of months ago. He was adorable and so nice.  But alas, since he's a married man, I'll stick to pining after JS.
