Boot Scootin Boogie

I popped into the Gap over the weekend to see if there was anything I just had to have, since I got a 40% off friends and family discount. Happily I came across two fabulous pairs of fold-over boots. The taupe ones are actually more of a light grey and are soft and almost suede-like. I wore the black pair last night and they were ridiculously comfortable.

Orange Crush

It's kind of an unexpected combo, but I'm loving the bright orange blazer + neutral dress and shoe ensembles Rachel Bilson and Molly Sims have sported. Perfect pairing as we arrive in autumn.

I Realize It's Barely Summer, But.....

J.Crew's Fall 2011 lookbook is online. Charming per usual. I'm especially loving the jewelry.

Blazers of Glory

Blazers are a marvelous wardrobe essential. Zara is a goldmine for blazers right now in an array of colors and cuts at completely reasonable prices.

Eye Candy Friday

True Blood starts on Sunday and I'm oh so excited!  I can't wait to see what craziness happens in Bon Temps and feast my eyes on the hotness that is Eric the Vampire played by Alexander SkarsgĂ„rd. I keep reading that's he's been at one of my gym locations lately.  I may fall off the treadmill if he happened to be near me!

Style Inspiration: Alexa Chung

Considered by many to be fashion's "it" girl, trend-setter Alexa Chung is captured by photogs all over the globe. I did a little feature on her three years ago when she was relatively unknown to us in the states. She's not a particularly flashy or sexy dressser, but a little offbeat and funky and at times reminds me of my fave, Rachel Bilson. Much of her wardrobe appears to consist of black, white, neutrals and blues, with not a lot of bright colors or bold prints, but smaller-scale patterns and interesting embellishments. She always looks effortlessly cool, often incorporating girly pieces with boyish basics.

Eye Candy Friday

While I must say, he's not the best actor around (though I did love him in Varsity Blues), Paul Walker sure is easy on the eyes - especially in a suit and tie.  He's only a couple years away from 40 and looks practically the same as he did years ago.

Eye Candy Friday

I first had a crush on Jason Bateman when he was on the Hogan Family.  It's been many years since and he looks even more handsome. I just love his dry humor. I'm ashamed to say I never really watched Arrested Development. Adding it to the queue...

Foxy Lady?

Lately I've been seeing people around town adorned with giant fox tails - mostly they're attached to belt loops and bags. I wasn't sure if it was an LA thing or what...?  Upon further research, I discovered Louis Vuitton had them in their Spring 2010 collection. Kinda weird, right?  I don't think I'm a fan.

Tinsel Town Chic

Whoops, I totally forgot to post these earlier!  I adore the images of gorgeous model Mona Johannesson and handsome actor Sam Page from the February Hollywood Issue of J.Crew. You may recognize Sam from Gossip Girl, Mad Men, Greek and Desperate Housewives (among others).  I think I see an Eye Candy Friday feature in his future.

Eye Candy Friday

What's not to love about a hot dude in a nice suit?  So I present to you - Chris Pine from the June 2009 GQ.  I love how springy/summery his looks are.  Perfect for Easter Sunday, a warm-weather wedding or chic garden party.

City of Brights

I'm loving the colorful accents captured outside the shows and on the streets during Paris Fashion Week by Phil Oh for Vogue. Models, actresses, fashion folk and show-goers alike were seen in some marvelous ensembles.  I could look at 'street style' photos from around the world for hours. It's always fun for a little inspiration. Check out all of the photos here.

Zara Lookbook

Zara's March lookbook is online and I'm loving the solid saturated colors and neutrals.  Zara always has has such great basics and all of these items could be worn a bunch of different ways with pieces already in your wardrobe. The red skirt is adorable!
