Bold Blossoms
Florals are a popular trend this season, as I guess they most always are, especially come spring and summer. Lately though, I've been eyeing larger prints with vibrant palettes, over the smaller, sweeter buds in pastel shades. More edgy, than sweet and ultra girlie. Here are some picks I would love to pluck for myself.
Pep up your drinks and your table - for a bargain!
While perusing the Hostess with the Mostess, I saw this adorable idea for swizzle sticks. So cute and so easy! You just stick a mum on a little flag and voila - a decorated drink! They would be a great addition to pretty much any type of celebration; a bridal or baby shower, wedding reception, birthday party or just a fun, summer get-together. The beverage decs were originally featured in InStyle's Southern Weddings gallery.
Also on the InStyle site were these wonderful and affordable centerpieces, one of their 6 Chic Decor Ideas. These too, could be functional for numerous events.
