In contrast to the previous post, J.Crew has some lovely soft neutral pieces that are as elegant and refined as expected.

Copy Cat
My good pal Marge (aka Lisa) fell in love with this darling cream Quail silk wrap dress from Urban Outfitters Lauren Conrad wore last month. Unfortunately the dress is no longer available (it came in red too!) so Marge sent me on a mission to find something similar under $200. I must admit, it wasn't so easy finding a short, cream wrap dress with sleeves as cute as Lauren's, but I think I completed my assignment (although sans tie).

Go nude!
For the past few months I've noticed the nude-colored heel trend. I didn't know how I felt about the look at first, but now I like it. Neutral shoes especially look good when paired with dark and/or vibrant colors - they enable the empasis to be on your outfit. When worn with bare legs or a similarly neutral hue on the bottom, a fluid line in created. A big plus is the fact that they seem to give the illusion of elongated legs and keep the focus upward (which is a good thing in some cases, for those of us not blessed with Cameron Diaz-lengthed gams). If only I could afford my favorites, the lovely Christian Louboutin peep-toes. I WILL own a pair of CL's someday! :)
