Double Duty
Love this idea! A hoodie that turns into a pillow. Hello, space saver when packing! As if I need another reason to go to Lululemon...

Today is the day, it's finally here! I am off to Paris and Greece with JOAT for what I can only imagine will be an incredible vacation. I've never been to either place and am so excited! I'm fairly certain I packed entirely too much. And shockingly, I am carrying on (as many of you know, this is always difficult for me to accomplish). Here's hoping for safe and effortless travel, delicious food and drinks, warm weather, beautiful sites and fun adventures! *a cute boy two thrown into the mix wouldn't hurt either*
Avery Bleu's Songs of the Week
Mykonos by Fleet Foxes. Why? Because I will be there in less than a week! Also, I like Fleet Foxes.

Le belle et le bad boy by French hip hop artist MC Solaar is my other song pick this week. I first heard this song on the series finale of Sex and the City when Carrie was in Paris with Aleksandr Petrovsky. I've always wanted to go to Paris and am spending two days there prior to heading to Mykonos.
(please note that I wish I could change the way Carrie's name is spelled in the title of this video)

I'm going to Paris is less than five months and I couldn't be more thrilled, as it's been on the top of my list for years! Today I became even more excited as my crisp new passport arrived in the mail (in record time I may add). Luckily my travel buddy, Jamie has been to Paris a couple of times, so she'll know what to do to make the most of our two day stay. Although we're only going to be there for a short time and it's months away, I of course am already thinking about what to wear and what goodies I will purchase. Btw, we're going to Greece for the majority of our trip, but right now I am dreaming about the first leg of our journey and can't stop looking at blogs and postings about the City of Light. Au revoir!
Moi
I found this fun little quiz via Michelle, Courtney and Kris....turns out I belong in Paris! I would love to think this is true! Sadly, I have never been to Paris, but I am dying to go.

Stylish and expressive, you were meant for Paris. The art, the fashion, the wine! Whether you're enjoying the cafe life or a beautiful park... You'll love living in the most chic place on earth. |
Bag Lady
I have a ton of bags, so it seems like every time I travel, I take a different carry-on (btw, I mean the carry-on I keep in the seat with me, I still haven't mastered the art of carrying on all my luggage and not checking - but I am trying to get better). I am a notorious over-packer and never bring a little carry-on or just my purse. It just can't be done. I need something that fits my abundance of magazines (only two of which I probably get though), my book (which I may or may not read), my makeup (what if my luggage is lost, I need my makeup!), my purse (who wants to carry two bags - my purse needs to fit inside my carry-on) and whatever other little things I throw in (iPod, pashmina/wrap, snacks, etc).
On my most recent trip I brought my Longchamp - Le Pliage Expandable Duffle. It's a great bag that folds up into a flat little compact square, opens to a good sized bag when zipped and also expands 6" vertically into a larger bag. On the plane I used it zipped and fit everything perfectly. When at my destination I used it expanded for an overnight trip and it was large enough to fit everything I needed. My only complaint is that the inside pocket is quite small and doesn't close or have a zipper.

Pack It Up, Pack It In, Let Me Begin...
My good friend Jamie sent me the most wonderful and useful thing in the mail today - a "Pack This" pad from Knock Knock. It's a checklist for everything you'd need when preparing for a trip. Jamie knows me all too well and is probably tired of hearing me complain about how much I loathe packing. I will definitely get a lot of use out of this, as I am a perpetual over- packer, but yet always bring the wrong things.

The Knock Knock site has all sorts of fun, humorous and unique stickies, pads, books, folders and more. Great as gifts!
