Love me some Jon Hamm. Or is it Don Draper I adore? I think it's both, even in spite of Don's philandering ways. Such a handsome gent. I'm finally watching Mad Men. Still on season 1, but hoping to catch up soon. So many shows, so little time...
Eye Candy Friday
True Blood starts on Sunday and I'm oh so excited! I can't wait to see what craziness happens in Bon Temps and feast my eyes on the hotness that is Eric the Vampire played by Alexander Skarsgård. I keep reading that's he's been at one of my gym locations lately. I may fall off the treadmill if he happened to be near me!
9 By Design
Is everyone else as obsessed with this show and the Novogratz family as I am? I wish each episode lasted longer than and hour, I can't get enough! They seem so fun and and cool and appear to be totally awesome parents with well-behaved kids. I don't see how they find the time to create the awesome spaces they do, but I sure do love their work. I sooo want to live in one of their houses. Their work is funky and modern, but also cozy and livable, incorporating new and vintage. I especially like the many infusions of color and that not everything is matchy-matchy. Great inspiration. Check out their Sixx Design website to learn more.

You Know You Love It...The Tunes
Sadly we must bid adieu to Gossip Girl until next season. I will soon devote another post to the fabulous GG fashion, but currently my mind is on the music.
I always dig the tunes each week and often go to the show's music site to find out what was played each week. There's a list of the songs for every episode of each season. Additionally, the Music Supervisor, Alex Patsavas gives a little background on some of the songs, bands and artists picked. What an awesome job - seriously fun!
Listen to Serena Ryder's cover of Band of Horses' " The Funeral" from tonight's episode - love it.

Holla At Cha Boy
How funny was Tim Gunn on Project Runway tonight? "Holla at cha boy." I just love him. I also love Leann's creation on the New York City challenge. The skirt/tank combo has both a modern and classic look that is also inventive (did you see the back of the skirt?). This picture doesn't really do it justice though. Although she didn't win, Leann's ensemble is definitely the one I would wear out of the bunch. It would be really cute with red heels or a fitted white tee.
Did They Make It Work?
What did you guys think of last night's Project Runway premiere? I think this season is going to be good. All of the designers seem quuite talented, at least from the small snippets we saw from their portfolios.
You can see all of last night's challenge runway looks here. I thought they were all fairly good, but perhaps a little too safe. Some of the outfits I thought were the cutest and more wearable, were the ones the judges didn't put in the top three. However, I did agree with their picks for the bottom three, but think Stella should have gone home over Jerry. Even though his was a bit odd, there was nothing to her design.
Aside from their design skills, I am hoping there's at least one person who will be as entertaining as Austin Scarlett, Santino, Jay and Christian. Blayne seems as if he may be trying a little too hard with all of his "girliciousness" and might get on my nerves. He's got nothin' on Christian's "fierceness", but I guess we'll see...
While on the Bravo site I happened upon some spoilers for this season.....Personally, I always like to guess what the next challenge is going to be from the clues they give and also thinking about what hasn't been done on the show before. The Return of the Society Style Queens (and kings)
After many months of watching pretty much only reality television, I am excited many of my favorite non-reality shows are back on the air. This evening I am really looking forward to the return of Gossip Girl.
Although it's about high school kids, it's totally a guilty pleasure of mine, and I'm not even embarrassed to say so.
Aside from the drama, back-stabbing and secrets, I especially love seeing what the cast is wearing each week. What a dream to be one of the wardrobe stylists for the show. With a plethora of fabulous designer duds, the outfits never disappoint. Even in their school uniforms with traditional plaid and khaki, the kids are still the pillar of fashion. Incorporating various accessories and luxe additions, their school-going attire is more chic than classic. When the gang ditches their uniforms, they are even more stylish and spectacular.
